The movie is a direct sequel to I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (1998) and the fourth movie in the famous franchise. It stars Madelyn Cline, Chase Sui Wonders, Jonah Hauer-King, Tyriq Withers, Sarah Pidgeon, Billy Campbell, Gabbriette Bechtel, Austin Nichols, and original stars Freddie Prinze Jr. and Jennifer Love Hewitt return in their old roles.
The story takes place 27 years after the Tower Bay murders. A new killer with a hook appears and starts attacking a group of friends, one year after they hide a car accident where they think they killed someone.
