‘Mayfair Witches’ Returns! AMC Confirms Season 3 with a Magical New Twist

Good news for fans of Mayfair Witches! AMC has officially announced that the spooky, magical series will return for season 3 next year. The show is based on the Lives of the Mayfair Witches books by Anne Rice, and it’s part of AMC’s Immortal Universe, which also includes Interview with the Vampire.

A big change is coming behind the scenes, too. Thomas Schnauz, who worked on Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, will join the team as a co-showrunner alongside Esta Spaulding, who led the first two seasons.

What to Expect in Season 3

AMC says the new season will bring in new magical families and go deeper into the history of witchcraft—including a twist on the famous Salem Witch Trials from the 1600s. Spaulding teased that it will be their “most delicious” season yet.

Season 3 will likely take inspiration from the final book in the trilogy, Taltos. At the end of season 2, Rowan (played by Alexandra Daddario) had just given birth to a child who grew into a powerful and dangerous version of his father, the demon Lasher (Jack Huston). The season ended with betrayal, magic battles, and Rowan choosing to erase the memories of her past to start fresh.

What Else Is Coming?

Mayfair Witches is the second show in the Immortal Universe. It was first joined by Interview with the Vampire, which is also getting a third season. And soon, a new show called The Talamasca will join them. It will follow a secret group that watches over witches, vampires, and other supernatural creatures.

There’s no official release date yet for Mayfair Witches Season 3—but it’s on the way! Stay tuned for more updates.
